Job Summary:
EXOS is expanding beyond our employer, military, physical therapy and elite athlete businesses by launching a direct-to-consumer solution (Exos Perform) for high performers who are both competitive and passionate about human performance. With our unique elite performance heritage and established position in the employer fitness market, Exos is poised to create a new paradigm at the intersection of personal development x fitness x human performance. We are currently looking to hire a highly experienced performance professional to deliver on this game-changing promise highlighting Exos’ holistic approach to performance during a go-to-market endeavor.

The Exos Perform Mindset Coach role is an opportunity for candidates to embody our ‘Greatness is a team sport’ slogan and help lead high performers in the workplace to level up their game. Ideal candidates should have an extensive background of developing high performers to reach their goals while simultaneously demonstrating leading a high performance lifestyle themselves. To inspire others, this role will require expertise well beyond movement to dive deep with clients who are seeking more in all aspects of their life. In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this position will be expected to help shape the evolution of the product, operations and coaching role itself. The Exos Perform Mindset Coach is a full-time, onsite position, reporting to the Exos Perform Manager.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide an overall world class, customer-centric experience to our clients and participants.
  • Drive meaningful change and a transformative experience for all participants.
  • Drive high levels of active engagement using the solution.
  • Deliver a variety of effective virtual programming including: group facilitation, 1:1 consults, educational webinars, asynchronous chat and other virtual services.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist participants in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to achieve their goals.
  • Ensure the highest level of EXOS methodology is represented in the delivery of all virtual services.
  • Maintain and foster a positive and inclusive culture reflective of EXOS’ ethos and heritage.
  • This position is located in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of five (5) years of strength coaching and/or personal training and/or executive or leadership coaching experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years leading and managing others in the workplace.
  • BA/BS Psychology, Sports Psychology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology or Sports Science-related degree.
  • CPR/AED, at least one, current NCCA/ICE accredited performance/fitness training certification (i.e., NSCA-CSCS, ACSM-EP, NASM-CES, NASM-PES) or executive coaching certification.
  • Energetic with a strong passion for helping others achieve their goals.
  • Extensive experience coaching both 1:1 sessions and small groups.
  • Strong public speaking skills. Excellent video presence, with experience engaging both small and large groups virtually.
  • Knowledge of (and experience with) group facilitation.
  • Knowledge of (and experience with) motivational interviewing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in Sports Psychology, Psychology, Neuroscience, Kinesiology, Sports Science or related field.
  • Experience coaching elite level individuals in a movement or mindset-related setting (e.g. professional athletes, elite military, and/or high level/C-suite corporate executives).
  • Successful completion of continued education programs showcasing a well-rounded coach from industry-leading programs such as: ICF Certified Executive Coaching, Precision Nutrition, The Hoffman Process, Functional Range Conditioning, Strongfirst Kettlebell, Michael Boyle Functional Strength Coach, Cressey Performance, Landow Performance, Wim Hof, Postural Restoration Institute, Yoga RYT 200, etc.
  • Knowledge and practical application of EXOS methodology or Executive/Leadership Coaching systems
  • Lifelong learner. Constantly seeking new and credible information and experiential growth.
  • Powerful verbal and written communicator, able to take complex concepts and communicate them appropriately for our audience.
  • Experience and high comfort level working with technology. Skilled in most common workplace platforms, including (but not limited to): Microsoft Office Suite, Google Tools, social media platforms, virtual meeting platforms and streaming services.
  • Able to work independently within a dynamic, ever-evolving work environment.
  • Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable balancing administrative responsibilities with client-facing services.
  • Has a “growth mindset”.
  • Possesses a high level of emotional intelligence, humility and empathy.
  • Has the “heart of an athlete”. Lives the EXOS brand. Embodies a balanced, high performance lifestyle in both work and play.
Physical Requirements:
  • Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday. Also, the physical requirements of this job may require occasional demonstration/on-camera performances of EXOS Training System components
  • Candidates applying should have significantly previously invested in their own physical activity routine that leads to their ability to demonstrate movements across the entirety of EXOS’ training system with a high level of proficiency.
