The talent development director creates end-to-end strategies to support the ongoing skill development and growth of our operations employees. This role focuses on the design and implementation of learning initiatives and programs that foster continuous development and supports a leadership culture that succeeds in building highly engaged teams who deliver on our mission and company objectives. This role works cross-functionally and across operating groups to analyze, design, development and implement training and career development resources that result in exceptional quality services to individuals served and equips employees with the training and tools to thrive in their careers.

This position is 100% remote and can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.
  • Define, develop, implement and evaluate talent development initiatives that support leadership development, career development, learning opportunities/solutions, and tracking of critical learning KPIs in accordance to quality standards and learning requirements.
  • Drive a learning and coaching culture through adoption of our Learning Management System and learning journeys, including incorporating essential requirements into all learning and growth programs and practices.
  • Oversee and advise the content and curriculum design for talent development programs and courses to ensure they are simple, effective, relevant and engaging for our workforce.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis on the effectiveness of development deliverables based on employee and manager feedback and targeted outcome measures.
  • Develop resources and tools to empower employees to manage their own careers and to help managers to coach and guide employee development.
  • Incorporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion needs into existing and new programming.
  • Provide leadership, development and oversight for policies around career growth and development.
  • Collaborate with HR and operations leaders regularly to understand business objectives, talent needs and improvements required to support employee work effectiveness.
  • Manages assigned personnel. Completes performance evaluations, orientation, and training. Makes decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions. Resolves employee problems within position responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of directly-related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and translate business needs and gaps into targeted training and development solutions tied to business objectives.
  • Proven experience designing training and development strategies delivered in multiple modalities, with emphasis on blended learning approaches and implementation.
Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theory.
  • Strong facilitation skills and ability to speak confidently in front of large groups in person or virtually.
  • Experience in developing others in curriculum design, development and delivery.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to interface effectively with all levels of organization.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and content authoring tools.
  • Prior people leadership, budgetary and managing large-scale initiatives experience.
