We are the fastest growing non-profit in America. Our unique, in-house program helps change the lives of American heroes by pairing them with a battle buddy, who was likely a rescue dog, and then teaching him or her to utilize that dog to mitigate the symptoms of their wounds. In order to continue the great work, we are doing, we are in need of an experienced Campus Director for our Phoenix, AZ location to join our amazing team.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Campus Director – Phoenix will oversee the K9s For Warriors Phoenix Campus. This Director will provide leadership and direction to the staff at the K9s For Warriors Phoenix Campus and be responsible for managing kennel staff, procurement, K9 training, and facilities in collaboration with and support by relevant departments at the Shari Duval National Headquarters.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the development, potential construction, and facility operations of the K9s For Warriors Phoenix Campus
- Manage and provide strategic guidance to all staff assigned to the K9s For Warriors Phoenix Campus
- Ensure a steady flow of rescue dogs are procured from local rescue partners and shelters
- Serve as lead on-the-ground manager for K9 training, health, procurement, and transportation teams
- Ensure a culture where effective teamwork, collaboration and innovation are expected, recognized and rewarded
- Lead by example regarding cross organizational cooperation and clear standards of conduct
OTHER DUTIES
- Participate in special projects and take on additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in dog training, kennel management, or program management/administration.
- Knowledge of issues facing Veterans and a passion for serving this community
- Knowledge of dogs, rescues, dog training, animal welfare
- Five or more years management experience
- Budget management experience, including creating, analyzing, and reporting
- Strong organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
