Although CrankyApe has a national footprint, this position is our first sales position in the Southwest Territory, which means deals and opportunities abound for the right sales professional! The position will be responsible for identifying and evolving new business relationships - from large national companies to local, mid-level firms - as well as nurturing existing clients within the designated region. Sales are on a business-to-business level where professional business etiquette is required throughout the sales process. While we prefer a candidate that has a Marketing or Sales degree, we are truly looking for an individual that has the right attitude and professionalism that we feel will carry them to the top. While we at CrankyApe can train you on the industry, we would love it if you had some vehicle auction/consignment sales experience. One thing that is for certain is that you, above all else, must possess the “unteachable” skills – work ethic, self-motivation, ethical decision making, and the desire to be a champion!!! Job Duties and Responsibilities A successful Candidate will increase Sales at CrankyApe by: • Maintaining a regular schedule of communication and visits with existing clients to nurture and enhance business relationships. • Conducting cold calls with new leads, including establishing regular schedule of follow-up communication and visits with such prospects. • Effectively converting prospects into clients. • Consulting and networking within the industry to increase brand recognition, including distributing marketing materials. • Understanding and anticipating industry trends to maintain a competitive advantage. • Identifying and implementing new marketing initiatives and strategies that expand sales opportunities with current and new clients. • Working closely with the Client Service team to provide superior customer service. • Providing creative solutions to clients. • Understanding Clients’ specific business goals, strategy, financials, and challenges. • Achieving and Exceeding set performance goals.
